GRES Acadêmicos do Grande Rio revela enredo para o Carnaval 2025: “Vai ter Carimbó na Avenida!”

Artigo sobre Enredo da Grande Rio para o Carnaval de 2025

After much speculation, the mystery surrounding the GRES Acadêmicos do Grande Rio’s 2025 plot has finally been revealed. Designed by the carnival artists Gabriel Haddad and Leonardo Bora, in partnership with the guest researcher Rafa Bqueer, the plot takes a deep dive into the waters of the Amazon and a mystical journey that blends palaces, shamanism, incense, streams, Encantarias, and Tambor de Mina temples. All of this is scented with herbs and guided by the unmistakable sound of maracas and drums. Haddad explains:

“Carimbó is everywhere. It is a very powerful cultural synthesis, just like Tambor de Mina and Cabocla Shamanism. It’s a fascinating blend. The Belas Turcas are the most beloved entities of Pará’s Mina, influencing people’s daily lives (you can even see their names on herb stands and aromatic baths) and being translated into Carimbó lyrics. The Carimbó drums are the Curimbós, each with their own names, expressing the voices of the Enchanted. The drums have souls. The plot stitches all of this together and travels through the world of Enchantment, which is not linked to death. Those who are enchanted have not died but have entered a portal and accessed a plane that coexists with ours, an inverted mirror. Enchantment guides life, in search of healing. We have already traveled to outer space, and now we are going to the depths of the waters!”, the artist exclaims.

The synopsis of Grande Rio’s plot will be released soon. In 2025, the school from Caxias will be the third to parade on Carnival Tuesday.
